CONTEMPORARY GRIOTISM AND WORKSHOPS
There have been many very old traditions in the world that have used music and/or the power of the word to bring social transformation at a community level. These include Irish bards, African griots, Wayuu palabreros, traditional mediators, medieval jugglars, sacred clowns and storytellers. Today many of these old traditions are lost or have been transformed. "Contemporary griotism" Is a cross-cultural system in experimental stage created to use the power of music and narrative to bridge, divide, or bring change in society. This can be applied to create cultural intervention in everything from communities, villages, groups, teams, enterprises and organizations.
Music is power, music opens the unconscious mind, liberares energy and allows for emotional accelerated learning. Many of these ancient traditions were attributed with the sacred magical knowledge of music and word.
